A Sunny day, in October
a car alarm is
all, the surrounding
trees shudder

Blue heron takes off
warm breeze, blowing

All life has a
bounce today
unseen, children’s voices
just another sunny day
in October

Great poem Stan-you have described a typical day in October in a very beautiful, creative way.
I especially like these lines: A car alarm is sounding
all, the trees shudder
All life has a bounce today.
Continued success

Enjoyed this my friend, it is sunny here in the southeastern mountains of Kentucky as well, beautiful blue sky! Your write is warm and heartfelt, it's always a pleasure to stop by your den.

i love the simplistic languidness of this; the observational of the reality with the surreality. .. . the machine with the world contrast. .. i jsut cant tell if all the world is recoiling from that alarm or in synch?
i love the way you feel with your eyes and see with your heart~
