I Brought You Red Roses

A rememberence.

"I brought you red roses" you said on Mothers day

I went to see, then laughted when i saw the bouquet.

There it sat so colorful and gay,

I wouldn't have it any other way,

It wasn't red roses at all

It was bright red tulips waiting in the hall.

So on this day, the anniversary of you death,

I want you to know I loved the tulips best.

You gave them to me with love from your heart

never knowing that soon we were destined to part.

Now today I bring you a tulip,

with love, the color is red,

and I'll treasure the memory of the day that you said,

"I brought you red roses"

A very touching poem, I like daisies for on my loved hubby's grave though. Daisies meaning I love you always and you are with me in spirit with love. Good poetry written here by you.

A very sensitively written piece filled still with everlasting love.

Be safe,
