Get a Grip!
Reality is not just what you see, but others too!

I woke from the dead!

Those brave soldiers keep on killing

Their nightmares be stilling

Tell stories of the brave and the willing

And others sing a similar hymn

To souse the ache in their kin

Of past glories they sing

But they know deep within their referee

Was not about the brave and the free

Not them, but others, they could see

Wrap themselves in the flag

Like a queen or a fag

Looks more like a drag

Right from wrong

Many a song

But you followed the throng

The innocent burned alive for your glory

Ever listen to their story

You were gross and gory

Thatís; who you are

You reached for a star

But left a big scar

You pray for your dead

But you tread

Pray for the innocent instead

God in his glory

Will know your true story

Watch out, youíll be sorry

Go ahead lay your story to glory and fame

Brought nothing but torture and shame

To your country and its good name!

I will be away for awhile myself as I'm in the middle of writing another novel but just had to take the time to resond to this poem of yours. All the best to you my friend, love Holly

War truly is Hell on Earth, and it's usually the ones who do not have to endure it, that are the biggest war mongers.

Welcome back my friend.
Let's all of us keep on heaping shame on their heads as you do here - one day they'll have to listen.

Beautifully and clearly stated. War is Hell and our pride (?) is sending our young people there in droves. Right On! Write On!
