Strange things that keep on happening to me, this sweet little robin, carouses round all day long, but insists to be with me at night, and to top it all off, it rest atop my most sacred place, there it spread its wings and falls asleep soundly till sun rise, which is why I am writing this a five in the morning. You tell me what I am to make of this? bless you all.

An angel face, a tomb does hold,
Carved in stone, in silence speaks,
Wherein my love does rest in ashes cold,
My heart her love still seeks,

In love to her my prayers say,
Forlorn in loving thoughts I cry,
Again I’m here today,
Pray my love to you will fly,

Every morn and night I pray,
And touch her silent place,
Once more, with you would play,
Once more, hold you in my embrace,

Then a spirit came with wings,
A tiny treasure up it lifted,
My heart with joy it sings,
Thoughts of love to heaven drifted,

I surely know it strange and sweet,
So close a bird would cuddle,
Upon my chest would sleep,
So my senses would befuddle,

At sunrise, it does fly away,
In early morning light,
Let’s go to bed I say,
When it comes home at night,

Late at dusk in fly’s to me,
I hold it in my hand,
It does not struggle to be free,
We seem to understand,

Beautiful her eyes of brown and blue,
With knowing looks at me,
Of love they speak so true ,
Who do I, but, Jasmin see,

The veil was moved away a fold,
The curtain drawn aside and shifted,
A spirit winged, flew through so bold,
Upon its wings my soul has lifted,

From place to place, it does pursue,
To follow me around,
When to the silent tomb it flew,
Its favourite resting place has found,

There this spirit omen rests,
Wings enfold the cold of stone,
With a blessed spirit as my guest,
The three of us are not alone.©17/08/2009

I have "said" this many times before. I honestly do not know where I'd be now if angels had not come along and saved me (sometimes from myself) time and time again along this journey. Thank you, Jasmin. Love and peace,

Such an experience comes to those who love deeply and suffer as deeply...those who are open to emotion and thought beyond the 'me, me, me'...it does, then, not surprise me that you should get spiritual support, Jasmin...these connections defy everyday wisdom, but they take us way beyond the everyday living

hugs and thanks for sharing so beautiful a thing

Maybe is the same soul inside a different pet, shouldn't you agree?
Trying to tell you not to have so much sorrow because she never left you?

No coincidence, methinks. As we grieve an adored pet, another in need comes for our protection and care. You are one to give both, Jas...with loving kindness! A "peep" for Robby :o)

Strange, sometimes, an uncanny link that can be formed in an instant with a member of the other kingdoms - animal and bird. Such things are hard to rationally explain, which does to explain why they are spiritual and soulish happenings in our very physical, material and rational world! In my own limited understanding of such things, I agree with Mary here: you have your own Comforter present in this beautiful, feathered form. Long may your union be. xx

Jasmin,

I would say the robin is your guardian angel in the form of a beautiful bird. He just wants to be with you and keep you safe.

Mary
