Dear me, I can see it coming......

Place of birth? Planet?
Earth,
My God, I said, what do think? This one,
North America,
Canada to be specific,
Me?
No the bird,
What bird?
The one in the car,
Undertone,-, you nerd,
Is she been with you long?
Who?
The broad,
No,
Look in the backseat,
What’s in the cage?
A bird, right,
What kind is it?
A common American Robin,
Latin birth name, “Tortures Migratorius,
Any identifying marks?
Yes, red toe nails,
Any other,
Yes,
Red breast,
Have you any papers for her?
No, she don’t read, or write,
What is the purpose of your visit?
Migration!
Undertone,-, come on, get with it,
Where to?
Somewhere warm,
How long is your visit?
Until spring,
Has she any money to support herself?
Na,
I’m afraid,
Hold it; she lives on barter, no need money,
What do you mean barter?
Well, she’ll eat your insects and berries, and then fertilizes your precious ground, land,
See what I mean?
Undertone,- you understand?
No I don’t, but does she have relatives to stay with,
Yes, plenty, what’s their name?
American Robin,
Have they been resident long?
Let’s say, yes,

Undertone,-, longer than you, you dong,
What’s your name? It says here bird man,
Yes, I take care of birds<
I transport them, if they are too lazy to fly,
Are you staying, and how long?
If I can help it,
Where would you be staying?
As far south as possible,
Have you got any means to support yourself?
Some,
How will you support yourself?
Same as the robin,
Are you trying to be funny Sir?
No, but I’ve been called a bit Cuckoo,
What about the bird in the front seat?
Well, she’s my barter,
Is she the only one?
No! I have a whole flock of them,
Go ahead Sir, enjoy your stay!
Undertone,-, I’m sure, I heard him say, flock off! ©28/08/2009

HaHaHa...Jaz...your wit shines through de-lir-i-iciously in this poetic tale. I have "Robby" and your picture implanted in my mind clearly! If you successfully get across the boarder, and make it far south into North Texas, we'll fix him up with a nested birdhouse!
Love this...Love this...Love this...

Mr. Cuckoo and Turdus on The Road, Again! You should write a screenplay. my friend; sounds like a marvelous movie to me!!!

And if you need a name to give them at border crossings, you can list me as Turdus's Uncle.
