This is inspired again by my friend Ed, who tirelessly exposes the underbelly of our mean and cruel treatment of the creatures of God. An appeal to all of you, to use your talents in all possible manners, before you're reborn in their likeness, without a voice, bless ya all!

How can us, us, that have the gift of gab,
Hide among blue skies and perfumed roses,
Among song and dance, and last nights crap,
And simply hold our noses?

If gift of speech, compassion wither,
So those that hurt, and cannot talk,
To write and talk for them we dither,
Stand up for them we baulk,

If time stood still and God did ask,
What good you did with talents all,
Could you say I did my task?
For yours without, I stood up tall,

These creatures that of pen and word bereft,
I used my talents for their sake,
That maybe when I am gone and left,
Someone else my place will take,

Speak up my friends, now is the time,
Speak not of roses that will bloom,
Use your poetry and rhyme,
To make a difference for them soon,

A mighty pen, a sword will make,
To fight the evil cruel world,
Help creatures for compassions sake,
Your truth and banner you unfurled,©13/03/2012

Mightily said, and mightily understood. I have been signing petitions like crazy. It is amazing how the politicians and lawmakers respond to the public wish. The pen, is indeed, mightier the than the sword, and those that cannot speak for themselves will be spoken for.

And it doesn't hurt, if someone goes out and rescues the unheard before they are lost.

That's truly the hope and prayer of those of us who still care about other life forms, but it very sadly seems that our numbers are dwindling very fast these days from our greedy politicians to average citizens to the new generation of technology inspired youngsters.

I now sady wonder if anyone will take up the good fight when we're gone.

I have tried, but rather leave it up to Mr. Ed as he is the professional with regards helping animals...e
