[After my sculpture in steatite "Best Friend."]
|
Sometimes I sit for hours,
licking my flank, or paw,
Thinking that being a man,
would simply be the last straw.
Imagine eating only cooked meat
bereft of all taste and smell.
And getting dressed for dinner…
Surely, that would simply be hell.
Of course there are compensations
And I know of at least one:
Having me as best friend
Must be the greatest fun.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Imagine being a man…"... A wit-wise composition, where art and and ontologic meditation are poetically expressed.
Gratefully,
