THE VEGETABLE PARTY

Watch where your vegetables have been.
---------------------------------------

The vegetables, they had a party arranged
And they talked of whom they would invite
But they would have to tread most carefully here
Because they remembered back to last years fight

The carrot and the potato, had come to blows
And the carrot was tearing him to strips
By the time they pulled the pair apart
All remained, was a pile of soggy chips

The onion had taken his jacket off
He would cause their tears to flow
But the vegetables put their goggles on
And through the door, the onion did go

This year would be different though
'Cause it would be strictly by invite
No chances they would take this time
They would keep this party tight

So the tomato invited the mushroom
But the turnip demanded to know, why?
"Chill out," the tomato answered him
"Why this mushroom is a real fun-gi"

So the party it was soon in bloom
And things were going very well
Until the swede had one too many
Threatened to send them all to bloody hell

He punched and kicked at the tomato
Pushed the runner bean to the ground
But the turnip jumped on top of him
Calmed the situation down

So in future, the party would be kept secret
They'll have them where they can't be seen
So if you're vegetables are cut and bruised
Then you'll know just where they've been.

"Why this mushroom is a real fun-gi"

I gotta hand it to you, a rhyming pun amongst a lot of fun. Patrick

!Ha! Another witty ending
after snappy lines with tight
dialogue. You've inspired me
again, and now I know why,
after having gotten squash
the other day at Fresh Buy,
the yellowarty veggie
was mashed on the side;
must've sipped some stout
and been in a bout
with some sauerkraut.

Okay, that was limp.
