Cry

This is dedicated to Nathan Brooks, a great part of my inspiration. written in 01-01

I cry for you, to see the pain in your eyes.
To see the once brilliant smile fade to dark and the wholesome glow of your face pale with sadness.

Your soft, gentle hands that once touched me like silk now tremble.
I watch helpless as you slip from my fingers.

You don't hear the calls of help now.
To see you fall into loneliness without caring.
I cry for you.

Your once strong love for life has now carried your love of everything away.
I see you spin out into a never-ending free fall.

You fall into a darkness that surrounds only you.
I watch as you fail to see the light and grasp the shred of hope that dances in front of your blind eyes, and I cry for you.

I cry for the person you used to be.
I cry for who you are now.
I cry because I cannot save you.

I cry because all I can do for you is cry.
