In the high country, people aren't casual about the ground. They notice grass, stumps, worms. So many times I've seen these people reaching down as if to hold on. But the peat-bog beople eye the trees. Remember storms. For them the birds and stars get turned around - the peat-bog people think this true , but they won't tell me how they know. And high in the country where people are rooting, holding on, such thinking is a hoax. Each to his own ground.
