The growing mindset of modern day Americans toward Entertainment Obsession:

Entertain me,
let it drive me away
from the mediocre malady
of this trying day.
Let me be forever
thrilled by this thing,
a trivial signal
broadcast on a string.

Love to love the fun of games,
they make me move inside my mind.
Things, things so glorified
by the entertainment centers
of the human kind.

I keep running from work
it's just for those jerks
who can't do a thing but pump gas.
I'm not so simple
and I'm not so green,
get me out of this disgraceful scene.

I love to love the fun of the games,
they make me busy, full of life's the thing.
Give me entertainment to fill my life,
it's all that really means anything to me.
