A short story there,
One of these days
A million fans will find
They have a few bucks
To feed the starving writer
Who is fat, imagine that.

Then I won't have to beg
The wandering eyes
To take a peek at the
Best fiction they've never read.
Oh, what a boast!
Can it actually be fulfilled,
Or just turn into a snake-oil pitch?
All in the eye of the beholder,
Even the greats were mediocre
At the start.

This weak poem
