Homage to a great human being
Homage To Albert Camus
God bless the land and the mother that gave you birth
your writes gave us the joy of knowing you.
You were qualified as a writer -
This gives you a tiny recognition for the gifts you possessed.
You are much more. You are a symbol of humanity
The spirit which emanates from your writings, can only be eternal.
How wonderful it is to read you!
You have expressed, with a rare talent, your feelings
They are also ours but which we were unable to describe.
You brought into the open, everyday truth
with a moving simplicity and clarity
Let us hope humanity will draw lessons from your works.
I imagine your moral suffering among us,
aware that a society lacking sincerity could not fit you.
Be assured, we are numerous to understand you,
Nothing of you will perish.
You won the Nobel Prize. As for me, reading your work
I remained silent; to express my humble homage

|Thank you for this, Emile. I join you in this tribute to Albert Camus. These lines are from his Notebook, dated August 1937:
"To keep going to the end means not only resisting but
also relaxing. I need to be aware of myself, in so far as
this is also an awareness of something that goes beyond
me as an individual. I sometimes need to write things
which I cannot completely control but which therefore
prove that what is in me is stranger than I am."

|I see your Camus and raise with two Nietzsche and a Descartes.
Rarely we read a poet giving kudos to any philosopher or thinker, but you done it. But they put a mark on him with that Nobel Prize, then he wasn't one of us but one of "them"
A very good homage.
