This is the untold dream of many girls

A Rich Girl’s Dream

I dream of walking and running when I feel like it.
Of dressing casually and letting myself expose to the sun.
Of doing my hair the way I want and not the way I’m told to
I live in a society where everyone tries to impress everyone
Not by their intelligence, but by their clothes and wealth.
I dream of going back to my childhood and to hug my mom,
Of sharing with her my love and my aspirations.
I have grown up with my tutor, whose only duty is
To shape me like a living sculpture for the admiration of others.
Who cares about what others think about me.
Who cares who I am!  I don’t want to be like them.
I want to be myself and only myself with my vast horizon
I am not limited to the wealth of my dad.
To write about all my feelings and to cherish my lover
My dream and my only dream is my unknown lover
For me, there is only one authority – my faith, which is in my heart

Dear Emile, so simply written but every line rings with honesty. I've never experienced being a rich girl, but but I remember there were good years in my life when everything was easy and my parents could afford to hire a sitter for me who used to dress me up for school and church. On the lighter side of things, I think I kinda liked it when my mother used to choose what outfit was best for me for a certain occasion and at 8, I already had my favorite cologne! Funny, I look back and I can only smile at the thought that being trendy too soon eventually made me a young mother at 19. No regrets, though. My life isn't so bad and at a certain level, I am happy. I hope you're not bored with my 'ramblings'. Well penned, my friend. I enjoyed reading it. Blessings to you.

Best wishes,
Sheri

Malheureusement triste mais vrai; harsh but real and yes... sad. Thank you, Emile. "For me, there is only one authority – my faith, which is in my heart" Thank you. Love and peace,

For me there is only one authority- my faith, which is my heart. We shouldn't have to impress anyone. We should be able to be ourselves. Beautiful write Emile as I believe this.

"...in a society where everyone tries to impress everyone..." and being part of it will be needed a strong soul to avoid temptations or become one of "them". Great write!
