Japanese format with a twist... This is mysterious, open to countless interpretations. I feel so much of the illusion/delusion game in this.
But also a soothing quality.
As for the portrait, in terms of ruin ;-) the old woman's face looks more refined and "complete" than the cold and shadowy face of the younger one.
