The Station is only beautiful if you are going somewhere, if you can buy a ticket. And you can never go back.

Moving Fast
I looked back through time at The Station
Sepia monument  to aspiration
Ancient memorial set in sweat and stone and fear
A portal to futility

Gliding Back
Bitter sweet memories of love
And of longing and of lust
Radiate from the image of twisting rusting tracks
I chose to wander

Moving Slowly
Frantic journeys into hope
Tortured whispers of destiny and destination
Sweet roiling steam of pain and desolation
I paid the ticket seller’s price

Stopping Now
Pay the coin for another ticket to paradise
The Station is so beautiful
But only if you can afford a ticket
And don't yet know it's all about leaving, not arriving

Still in the silence
I wonder, where now?
Gold and love I have in plenty
But sanity forbids a final destination
The track of life runs short

Blindly I move on
The purposes of youth are spent
But still in beauty, eternal stands The Station
Portal of flight best viewed backwards
From a one-way trip

Shadows fly
Seething from the final point of departure
Moss-green sepia, smoke and ancient steam
An inconsequential blur that was my life
One way ticket

Life, the ticket to death, hopefully the train arrives in time, waiting is torment, isn't it. Bless ya!

A way in which we may all view our life on our journey, not always a bad thing. Sometimes we need a review before we go on to greater things. "The Light"

Lovely write, as you fought to stay

Love and Light

A very descriptive way of describing death. The one place there is no return from.
