|ROFLOL! William, you don't know how right you are. I'm a former bank lending officer out of Texas. You forgot to include their defence of high interest rates, which is Uncle Sam's prime rate: a great ruse. Granted, prime rate is what a bank would pay in interest were it to borrow money from the government. Truth is, if a bank has to borrow money at the prime rate window, that bank is going bankrupt! Bank's don't borrow...they lend, even to Uncle Sam: it's called "Daily Fed Funds."
