RUMINATIONS II
since hard it is for us to talk
let me on paper put my thoughts
that if at last we fail to talk
may be my heart at rest will be

I crave with all sincerity
the warmth and pleasure of your grace
the bitterness wrapped in your bile
to be with you the way you are

though beauty be so desirous
and homely for the eyes to see
I seek the beauty of your heart
More beautiful than the new moon

I pledge no gold nor dear perfume
no phoney deals that cow the eyes
but my true self uncouched in paints
enveloped not by a veneer

This is poetry from the heart, true poetry. It touched me deeply and brought my tears. Outstanding work.
