A funeral I attended today.

Little hero, there you lay

All dressed up to a tee

A special and sorrowful day

Surrounded in white, there you lay

Dressed in dark army green

You life cut short that yesterday

Ever so peacefully, there you lay

Wearing a large gold medal

Saving another from tragedy that day

Small hands folded, there you lay

Pastor said, you are in heaven

Up there is where you are today

Your looking down, there you lay

Standing in front of godís grace

Now you are gone, on your way

By your motherís hand, there you lay

Early as the sun was coming up

She quickly took your life away

Little hero, so there you lay

Resting ever so peaceful

In heaven, there is a brighter day

God Bless You Little Hero

very wonderful elegiac poem. A beautiful eulogy, that you should've sent to his family. You are an all around credit to this race. One heck of a great mom you will be!

Dear Staci, Why kids have to die so young? They knew death before knowing life. God bless him. My heart goes out to the family and all those who knew him. Staci you are not a silent observer but an active and vigilent mom. Emile

Am I reading this right, this little hero laid to rest was killed at his mother's hand? Tragic!! So sad when children die, especially violently...needlessly...senselessly.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
