I suppose all lovers must mature
as do the tears that they cry
more than just the protestations
of a child railing against the unfair
or crying over what they cannot change
I've become the statuesque fountain
meant to pour grief into a cement pot
but lacking the impetus necessary
to force emotion through my valves
so I'm really just the statue
cracked and dry without its water

Symbolically and metaphorically very sound and powerfully effective, April. Well done! Love and best wishes,

| Excellent thoughts and flow. You have really matured in your expression over the last few years. |
