Times are trying on us all, there seems to be quite a disconnect these days.

Disconnected

by Amber "V" Moonstone

7/22/10

At times you may feel disconnected
to the "real" world,
Allow this time for self-analysis.

We all need space,
to think clearly,
to feel our feelings,

to trust in ourselves,
that we are doing what we
need to do for our well being.

Trusting in ourselves
is the first step in learning
to trust others.

If you cannot trust yourself,
with your own life,
then who can you trust?

Disconnected can actually
be a healthy state of being.
The biggest obstacle is our mind.

When you are disconnected
you must dig into the depth of your soul
and find what you are connected to.

During this blue state of mind,
sometimes we find the answers
that we have been dreaming of.

Lucid dreams,
tell what your inner soul
is trying to make you aware of.

Write your dreams down,
and revisit what you wrote at another time,
sometimes those dreams make sense later.

The best way to become reconnected,
is to manifest what you really desire
and let it go out into the Universe.

The Universe will take care of you,
If you trust that you are asking for
what your soul needs.

Disconnected is required
in order to know when you are connected!
Allow yourself to just BE !

A fine bit of philosophy. i must admit, however, that I'm more of a Son Of A B.

I love the message of this writing, Amber; it is something to always consider, and to put into practice. Thank you very much, friend.

when you allow yourself "to be" the universe takes care of itself ...

i am "disconnected" from this world for my dreams are of the next world and are connected to everything, even the remnants of this one ...

good one, amber ...

I AGREE...SOMETIMES ONE JUST HAS TO 'SHUT DOWN' AND LOOK WITHIN. FOR IT IS THERE...WITHIN...THAT STRENGTH IS FOUND AND WE 'COME FORTH' WITH RENEWED PASSIONS AND SURE DIRECTIONS, VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED, BUT NOW RECONNECTED. WELL DONE AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING. LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

To drift free of earthly bonds is indeed enlightening to say the least as long as we have the anchor to bring us into calm save places when we need them...

Amber, these are words of such great wisdom...you have described a state where I was disconnected and was forced to look deep into my being. As you say, I became aware of my inner-self and my life was changed and enriched. You must have been to that place too.
Warm regards,
David

Being disconnected brings that perspective to see the true meaning of being connected. The duality that this poem explores is fundamental and the utterance is precise, and images spot on!

It's so strange...your preface...about feeling "disconnected"....I have never felt more connected. Love your last two verses, Amber.

This is radiant in words and wisdom ~
That the heart and soul already knows the truth if we let it catch the mind even if in dreams ~

The close to this fine work, Amber, is the perfect message. Those who see through the veil of fantasy and deceit may, but only may, have a chance to grasp the real agenda, the horror of manipulation and double-speak and spin that permeates our societies.
I agree paranoia may annoy ya and schizophrenia may come between ya but in the end we have to keep some freedom and that's only possible inside our heads, but they're working on taking that away, too.
