The foggy desolate beach this morning, inspired this poem.

You Are On My Mind
by Amber "V" Moonstone
5/4/12

Softly the waves crash,
against the desolate beach,
fogginess surrounds your island,
where eyes cannot reach.

Two years ago,
I professed my love,
and also released it,
leaving destiny to the Universe above.

I still yearn for you,
a deep desire that fills my being
you are always on my mind
especially when I am dreaming.

The waves soothe my pain,
the fog lifts a bit with a wind shift,
I can see your shore once again,
it gives my mind quite a lift.

When will this ache subside,
knowing you are so very close,
my heart misses you,
but my soul misses you the most.

Walking along the dampened shore,
barefoot on the frigid ground,
invigorates and stimulates
all the energy that is abound.

My voice is quiet, I call out your name,
just one time can you be here,
to see what this is,
this love that I do not fear.

Longing, yearning, manifesting,
for that moment in time,
that our souls will re-unite
and you will forever be mine.

my heart misses you,
but my soul misses you the most.

Such an aching soul-mate write, Amber. There is absolutely no pain as acute as soul pain but the silver lining that sheds its tiny ray through this misty gloom is the certain hope of a future forever reunification. It must be a huge comfort and analgesic to know for definite that that someone is "out there", though agonising during the short-term separation - which in itself seems interminable. Whistful and as aware of the passage of time as it is timeless. May the foggy dawn give way soon to a bright, new day! :)) xx

The yearning in this poem is profound... There is nothing like the sea to soothe and heal the heart, with the ebbing and flowing of the tides...
If destiny's hand is in place then soul's will have be reunited...
Lovely work as always Amber...
Hugs, Diana..

Probing, searching poetry at its best, Amber. Lost loves are a continuing ache to those of us who still care.
