A WALK ON MY BEACH

i took a walk at sunset
on the white sands i often trod
i thought of the beautiful women
i've known and loved.....or
just enjoyed a sensual sunset with
then my thoughts turned to you

i was alone, feeling lonely
for the understanding touch
of a woman as passionate as i
one with an expanding poetic soul
i sat on the sand and watched
the hot sun kiss a smooth horizon

while i remembered your words
and recited silently your poetry
within depths of my restless spirit
i wondered if you were somewhere
walking your beach as i walk mine
were you lonely, wishing for love?

did you think of me or my words?
if you had been here, or i there
kisses would easily seal warm lips
together in breathless wonder
as we whisper poetry without words
through cool excited fingertips

arms enfolding, tongues exploring
kisses deeper than a well of souls
tell me, beautiful one, would you,
if we were on the beach together,
welcome the fire of my passion
and let me touch you deep within?
