~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I WILL NEVER FORGET
it has constantly been
my promise to you never to forget
today, as every day,
i remember you, mi amor
since you left so unexpectedly
my heart has traveled in circles
approaching love, turning away
for would it be fair to another
when i can never forget you?
the violet kingdom of your eyes
where my tired soul rested
your scent, your taste,
softness of your skin and hair
original music of your voice
played over and over in my mind
though sensations may fade with time
i won’t forget the love we shared
passion wild like a hurricane wind
affection sweet as raw sugar cane
can the earth forget the sky?
can mountains forget the clouds?
taken too soon, still mourned
and missed, unforgettable amor
what would i give for one more day?
The depths of this poem are endless, DJ.
I don't know if this is auto-biographical, but if it is, I'm so sorry. please know you are in my prayers today, as are all of those that were taken on that painful day. My daughter's face was ripped up by a teacher's dog, and as I got the emergency call, the towers went down on the tv, and all of the doctors were gone. I'll never forget that day for so many awful reasons, but one thing is for sure, love is the only thing that will heal anything.
Blessings my friend,
Christine |
DJ,
I never knew. I am so sorry for your loss. Today is indeed a day for reflecting. But, for those who have lost someone that they loved that day, each day they are thought of.
You really must move forward, it has been so long. You have lost so much of your life. You need to be loved again and love again. There is no one out there that can replace her, but you can feel love once again. A man with your depth of passion and romance will surely be able to find a woman who will cherish you.
My healing energy to you today, please take good care of your heart.
Much peace, love and angel light,
Amber |
