When darkness sits inside your soul and cruel pain

- Like a festering wound inflicted by a knife -

Keeps on tearing at your heart again and again,

Go ’n kiss a flower; there’ll be sunshine in your life.

When, at the end of day, you arrive home weary

And instead of kiss, from your husband or your wife,

Words greet you at your door, unfriendly and dreary,

Go ’n kiss a flower; there’ll be sunshine in your life.

When your world seams colourless, gloomy and bitter

And all sounds like a shrill from a demented fife,

Your entire being is filled to brim with jitter,

Go ’n kiss a flower; there’ll be sunshine in your life.

Yes, at times this life can be very hard to live,

Full of sorrow and can be rife with ugly strife,

But also have many thousands of gifts to give…

…Go ’n kiss a flower; there’ll be sunshine in your life.

Wonderful words.
But if I go and kiss the flower - who will kiss me back?

I often 'kiss' flowers within my heart where they bloom constantly. Beautiful words from a beautiful soul...You are a very special friend to me Peter, you've made me laugh, you've made me cry, you've made me think, and you've made me feel again. My dear, dear friend, my only hope is to one day meet so I can hug the man that brings me so much joy...Claywoman...

I'd rather be kissed. Your made me cry, so maybe I should go find a flower. ~ Sara

This is very lighthearted, different. The Anne Geddes photo fits perfectly with this poem.

When I am breathing quite well,
And I don't need to otherwise sell,
To my job or boss that I cannot work,
Caused by my inability to breath now so well,
That is when I go to a flower and smell,
Then I have no ability to breath, allergies have swelled,
My nasal passages, beyond that which I need to take in air,
And if I were to kiss that same flower, I may find,
Just how really fast in time, I can die, both my body and my mind...

Nice one, but with allergies, I don't sniff flowers anymore, let alone kiss them...Peace friend Peter, Ed & Rufuz
