When darkness descends and evening bells toll
It is time to shed burdens of the day
And a restful night's virtues to extol,
Before today turns into yesterday.
Another day passed, you deserve a rest.
With your hands clasped and your head humbly bowed,
Your mind relaxed and feeling truly blessed,
You ought to say a big thank you aloud.
You might have been pushed; you might have been stressed,
But now is the time to cast off your cares,
You don’t want to retire feeling depressed
And have your sweet dreams turn into nightmares.
Instead with grateful heart you may now say:
"I'm alive! I survived another day!"
