With sweet and gentle ways
you were sent from up above.
To complete our family circle
with the treasure of your love.

With a heart of sensitivity;
so anxious to reach out.
You always think of family
and the ones you care about.

You show the strength of christian love
to all who are in need.
And as I watch you grow;
I think, "we have been blessed in deed."

Though your life is yet to live
and you've only reached eleven.
You are your Father's child
and you've set your course for Heaven.

Remember through the ups and downs
when life becomes a bother.
You can rest upon my shoulders
for you are my precious daughter.

written for my youngest daughter, Bethany, who is now 14 years old.
