When Eros stirs my heart
more strongly,
I invoke you,
daughter of the rose-coloured Hebe,
to soothe the burning echoes
of my indomitable passion.
And like in winter
the river, swollen,
drags to its mouths
the prey
torn off its sides,
so Iím swept away
by the hateful anger
of the gods
for the adulterous love
the daughter of the rose-coloured Hebe
wished for me.

Your poem is filled with pain, passion, and anger. Love is a rough sea, a severe ice storm, and sometimes it can feel like thirst in a desert! Great poem! You have captured so many emotions.
Stop into my den when you have a chance. I would love for you to review some of my poems or stories if you have time.

A supberb write, where are you going with this one. Dreadful words but from your heart and love can be stormy like this if you don't find the right person and trust in one who betrays you.
