A variation of Chapter 27 from
TRAIL OF THE OLD MAN

Though he's gone I will not forget
He filled my life with so much love
There's a special place in my heart
For that old man sent from above

His majestically etched stone face
Gave a look that was very stern
But deep down I knew he was there
To teach me what I needed to learn

I've always kept an open mind
Knowing what he was put there for
Simply to share the love in his heart
I'll remember him forever more

The Old Man of the Mountain is
Alive in both my heart and soul
He's forever etched in my mind
Ever with me as I grow old

So, rest in peace my stone faced friend
Your messages I've always heard
Yes, I have put them to paper
As promised and sealed with my word

I remember when that wonderful landmark fell...you have immortalized the old fellow in memorable words. Thanks so much Paul, God has gifted you with an enjoyable way with words.

Yes, Joyce. There actually is an Old Woman formation in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

YOUR LOVE FOR THIS NOW DEPARTED NATURAL FORMATION IS ALWAYS SO EVIDENT WHEN YOU SPEAK OF HIM. IS IT TRUE THAT THERE IS ALSO A 'OLD WOMAN' NATURAL MOUNT FORMATION? I AM ASKING YOU BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WOULD KNOW. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

Like Yosemite's drive-through tree, the Old Man is part of history, part of legend and it's time to move on.

We can sometimes fail to remember many things, but those things which are good, we just can't forget, truth is we shouldn't! Peace to the old man, Paul!

He will never be forgotten by many; too bad I never got to see him excepting in verse or in photos! Keep his memory alive; don't ever stop writing about the Man In The Mountain! Well done, Paul!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

Dear Paul,

Keep on writing about the old man and others who inspire my friend.
Describe all the details of his life from beginning to the end.
For facts are nice and statistics have their place.
But there is nothing more beautiful that writing about God's grace.
Amen

God Bless you Paul,

John Michael
