I collect dreams in jars like butterflies
Remembering your tears
The years of social suicide
were mosly solitude
I cut as often as I bleed
and hate myself for not remembering
The colour of your eyes

Your footsteps stretch across the sands
Towards promises we never could keep
And if there were waves on the beach that night
I doubt they even heard
You speak of wanting a baby
And that you'd never leave

I awoke to smoke and destiny
a drunkard without eyes
All the ruins well hidden
All of the truths changed to lies
I stumbled around like an immigrant
Searching for a home
Failing at the language
That I never had been shown

Forever lasts forever
If only in the mind
And time is an assassin
Who never held a child

Today I drink my coffee
And I smoke a cigarette
Measuring the distance
Between what I have chosen to remember
And what I've chosen to forget

WOW! What a sad state of mind Bill, but a reflection of what is TRUE to your heart and the memories that bring YOU FORWARD,
OUT OF THE EMOTIONAL DARK!
as you sit peacefully (knowing) drinking your coffee
and smoking your cigarette.
What a vision of solitude, for a heart that really KNEW!

This healing and cleansing should strengthen!
LOVE this clever Poem of sadness and sweet memories, that will sustain thee, FOREVER!
WRITE ON! My friend and may "I" also say, Thank you for blessing my pages/corner in your special loving, honest, caring ways!

Warmest Blessings of Love, Light, Peace, Hugs and Inspirations, Warrior Purple Lady SHEExooo
