Regrets

Regrets are born deep within
Reflections on what might have been
A different time or place perhaps
A choice. a chance, a chosen path
Only fantasy pursues such things
Had we'd been brave and spread our wings
Or had the wisdom we hold dear
Overcoming foe and fear
Regret is but a fact of life
Decisions made that once seemed right
If we could but live again
Chose the place to begin
Maybe our regrets would find
Wishing this life left behind
