|no matter what happens, or who else comes along in our lives, there always seems to be "one" whose memory haunts forever. I felt this poem. Kathy|

|You painted a fine work of art here yourself, Michelle, in description and in feeling tying them both together in a rather subtle touch of allegory...........Jerry|

|I am not familiar with the artistic rendering you reference Michelle, but surely it cannot be as beautiful as your artistic rendering in words -- "After the rain", I will always hear the whisper of your words -- peace and love to you my friend -- Jon Michael|

|There's something about a white dress-- don't know what exactly, but I see that in my mind-- softly clinging, sort of like your words here. You've got some rich imagery, but if I can be bold, I think it could pop out more if a few of the end rhymes were more subtle-- like "falls... recall"-- now that's a bit more subtle than "fears...disappears" I guessed what was coming-- the less-used words have richer connotations. (Please do not take offense at this. I only get nit-picky with poems I like, and ask the same of my readers. --the mean readers are the best ones, right?)
Still, this poem suits the painting, which I also love, and portrays the yearning in your lines, as his painted strokes show the yearning in his.
My favorite part: that last stanza. Best word combo: "that north man"-- entirely unique and evocative. --Charlie

|WOW ... that third stanza flows so well.
I love when that happens. There is a bittersweet
brooding in this Michele that touches the heart
of this reader. Hoping all is well and that you
are healthy and happy.

|A TOUCHING WORK OF LOST LOVE BATHED IN THE ACHING ESSENCE OF 'BITTERSWEET' ACCEPTANCE...YET...YEARNINGS. A FINE WORK MICHELLE WITH LASTING PHRASES AND IMAGERY THAT 'PAINTS' A VIVIDLY CLEAR PICTURE. WELL DONE. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS.
