Yesterday, a mountain I did climb.
From a mountain spring, I did drink.
The water cold and fresh,
From nature’s bounty I did partake.
And, when I reached the very top,
The vistas my eyes beheld
Great beauty spread out at my feet.
A veritable feast for my soul,
As spell-bound an eagle’s flight, I watched.
Although, the view was hazy from clouds
Surrounding the valley below,
Other mountains in the distance I could see.
For a sermon, I received the greatest one of all,
Standing on a mountain top.
