--> TIME

You married someone else

Telling me you would not

And now you call and ask me

To call and wake you at a certain time

I am not an alarm clock

I have no buttons

I have no snooze

To wake you in five minutes

My face isn’t backlit with Indigo Blue

My nose hasn’t sprouted hands

To mark the passing minutes and hours

My face isn’t edged with numerals

I am not an alarm clock

I am not an answering service

I will not answer your phone calls

I will not call you back

I am not an alarm clock

Go to Wal-Mart and

Purchase a nice alarm clock

With buttons and a snooze

I like how in the face this is, and what a great idea for a poem, we all know one of these people unfortunately!!

Wow, that sure is telling him! No, you are certainly no alarm clock and you do have a life to live of your own and live you will....

Be always safe,

OK, Shifty, tick tock, nice write, no one ever thought you looked like a clock...but you have the genius of stopping time.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

This reminds me a little of Michelle Kidwell's style! :)

Annie,

Good one my friend. Tell him he lost to begin with so if he snoozes he loses again. Some thrive on losing and losing at anothers expense is their way of passing responsibility. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul. How's My Favorite Lady Trucker doing?
