The choice of not going on.

In darker glade
as moonbeams shown,
my lady made
her way alone.

From stony brook
to palisade,
a path she took
through Evening Shade.

Berries gathered,
much more than three,
a dose to dread
in nightly tea.

She's lonely here;
her choice was made,
and Death was near
in Evening Shade.

A sad end to an imaginably beautiful lady....

Be safe,
