My Father

I had a father, who was quite intelligent even though,
He never read the directions
on the do-it-yourself projects
purchased form Sears, of course.
Somehow all the projects seemed to get done
even though I had my doubts
sometimes.
Never, as long as I live, would you see me
try to put something together from Sears
and not read the directions.
After a few dirty words
He would shout and holler.
The project would then move along quite smoothly
for someone who would not
read the directions.
My father, the do-it-yourself king!
