The plot builds relentlessly and so well that by the end one does not know whether to laugh or cry..

Suffer Me To Be The One

There is a child who suffers from neglect and physical abuse.
He cries to the Lord each night in prayer to ask,
"How much longer must I suffer this, How much more will I loose?"
Who will be the one to help this child with a touch?
Suffer me to be the one Oh Lord!

There is a man who is down on his self.
He took to the bottle to ease his pain.
With a shout to the Lord that comes from within,
He asks the Lord, "How much longer is this pain?"
Who will help this man Oh God?
Suffer me to be the one Oh Lord!

There is a woman who suffers in chains , to a world of physical abuse.
She see no way out from this pit of evil.
She gets to her knees each night to cry out to God<
"Send me a way out, and let my soul be free."
Who will help this woman Oh God?
Suffer me to be the one Oh Lord!

There is a man in prison who longed for something.
No one came to him on visiting day.
He watched all the other prisoners who had someone to care.
"Where, Oh God," he cried, "Is someone who will care for me?"
Suffer me to be the one Oh LOrd!

There is a widow woman who lost all that she had.
No one came to see her or lend her a hand.
She cried to the Lord for her relief,
"Who will feed me, Oh My Lord?"
Suffer me to be the one Oh LOrd!
