Unlocking the closet
with a key from
a skeleton

only a handfull of
random secrets
finds a way to escape

they drip down
the staircase

some hide in the corner
some hiss
others just whisper

some bellow
while others choke
on their own
shallow substance

only one runs
away, it slides under
the front door

trips over the neighbors
and reveals our betrayal

shoulden't have given
that bone to that dog.
