i challenged fellow writer Richard King to see which of us could be the 1st to come up w/ apoem using 3 nonsenseable lines i used in a comment...obviously...I LOST...underestimating his quick draw abilities...but here's my 'also ran'...here's to you and 'sweetie' richard.

Long weary days had King Richard
caught in a daily grind
of meaninless tasks...
and no Queen to ask...
his other sock ...to find

She came one day
by chance... I suppose
to be his Queen and lover

I hear they're
swingin' in the wind
dancein' in the rain and
havin' buttercups for breakfast

As for the lost socks...
like every good Queen
who's a 'luva' unda 'cuva'
she checks the obvious places and
there she finds....
his 'utha's'

and

now all is well with the King

Pat, I CONCEDE! Quality over speed, everytime. Daddy taught me that years ago. Love the way your mind works. The King bows to the Master. This was fun. Thanks Dick

Got me in stitches Pat, and I detect a bit of rapper in you,,,'luva' unda 'cuva' sounds like something right out of a Eminem track. LOL

Still lookin' for my uva sock

I'll keep in mind not to challenge Richard to anything...you are a good sport to admit defeat...;-) e
