i watch and hear washington diluting and divertingd our attention from the stunning significance of that day and what should have been an awakening to the very real islamic threat we face. political correctness will bring us to our knees. obama unabashedly lays it before us

We stand back in silence

as our credo dilutes...

ruptured into putrid pieces of deceit

by tongues that are forked.

We watched in petrified horror

yet no awakening

as our innocence smashed to the ground

on the flaming backs

of those who chose to leap.

We listen as the enemy is falsley labeled

the dog is being wagged

and diversions planted.

We sit in politically correct

self-inflicted bondage

as guilt shovels are offered

to masks of kindness and peace

to pierce and claim our hallowed ground

for islam...

whose credo is

'broken or dead'.

There lives bold ernesty in these lines. What is poetry for, if not for condensing what we see and feel into words that deliver that exact amount of passion. ~~ Diana

Powerful words that describe the inner turmoil you feel about the evil inner workings of todays America. I couldn't agree more! Excellent offering written from a deep place in your heart. Five stars!

Yep, Pat, I was hip to the guy from day one. All it took for me was his middle name. I wasn't wrong either. America is insane.
