old men
sittin' in a bar room

drinkin' beer
and whiskey

feelin' fear
feelin' frisky

used to be 7
one died went ta' heaven

now there was 6
what a mix

old men
sittin' in a bar room

sayin'
remberin' when
back then
was then
remeberin'
when was then

feelin' thin
old men
sittin' at the bar stool
bein' an old bar fool

"rember back?
remmber jack?"

"hey, how about kate,
man we couln't wait..."

give me another beer..pleas
if you please
please ease
my mind
help me to find
yesterday
or today
anyway

i'll be frisky
give me a whiskey
i'll be riskey
let me drink it down
forget my frown
we done buried him down
"here's to you"

jack & jill
done climbed that hill
do as you will
do as you can
just rember an old man

old men
remberin' when
sittin' in a bar room
waitin' to die
tearless they cry
as life passes bye
but then
old men
they be thin

always livin' back then
with kate
who they loved too late
back when
they were young men

old men
sittin' in a bar room

remberin' back when...

wishin' they had a broom
to sweep it all away
and go back to yesterday

sounds like the voice of experience speaking...lol ! This is actually a sad, and woeful truth that you have written about. Some people really do sit at the bar, wasting their time and energy and not accomplishing anything constructive in their life...every day. And the only things that they can talk about, concerning things that they did do, are those things that happened in their past. There is a lesson to be learned from your writing of this, and that would be to Live Each Day To Its Fullest! I enjoyed reading this. Love, Leah
