On occasion we wonder what our purpose in life is,

We don’t listen to our inner voice, ignoring his.

Something inside propels us to act,

Yet we often fail to recognize it and simply don’t react.

Perhaps we have known all along,

But we are too afraid that we could be wrong.

We must take a chance on our given talent,

Each and every one of us can be valiant.

If we veer off track,

Something inside will pull us back.

Maybe it could be we are being tested,

So when our individual purpose becomes clear, it is not ignored or rejected.

A road not taken is a road lost. Nothing ventured, nothing gained is a good thing to think about. This poem says all and gives good advice too. Never give up, cause it is never too late.

Well put, this reminds me in a way of an old Indian saying, of the mind being a circle, and the concious in it a spinning triangle... Each time we listen, the triangle continues to touch the outiside of the circle, and each time we don't it chips away until it is no more than a ball spinning inside another ball...

One of the most common traits all criminals seem to share, is a lack of conciousness...

Very well put here in poetic form though and continued success to you:)
Sincerely,
And happy easter as well
Chase:)

Listening closely to the spirit is surely important, what we learn could surprise many! I listen to my inner voice, come and visit when you can.
You write so quick, I write so long (sometimes)
You get across easily and I come on too strong!
hmmm...
Love your talented writing!

Your thoughts display that ever elusive purpose of life we seek so much, sometimes it is more simple than we even know...

But we are too afraid that we could be wrong.

Unfortunatly, too many of our decisions are based on fear.
The fear of not making the right one often leads us to make the wrong one, or worse doing nothing at all.
Well said Ms. Carroll.
