What matters most,

Is the freedom to visit coast to coast.

It’s the wind in your hair,

As you travel across the states, on a dare.

It’s a combination of things,

Like waking up to the sound of birds singing.

It’s the rising morning sun,

Allowing for a day made for fun.

It’s the little voice laughing in joy

From natures priceless gifts, not a store bought toy.

It’s the feeling of having it all,

Even when it’s colder in the fall.

It’s the lake that resembles a sheet of glass,

That you can ski across with class.

It’s appreciating nature,

Aware of the environment and that you really do care!

Freedom is indeed a fresh commodity we often take for granted. Beautiful poem.
