"...A man may be so much of everything that he is nothing of anything..."
Samuel Johnson, (attributed)
English author, critic, & lexicographer (1709 - 1784)

Berlin

A Wall once divided tis City
Enclosed prison of brick and cement
Barbed-wire fence to keep people in

Or Out, they said...
Check Point Charlie---Hotbed
Controlled access at Freedom's gate

In an Island of western ideals
And Eastern European disdain

I could have not imagined
The day that came
When the wall came tumbling down
By hammer and dust left for memory

No remebrance except in celebrated smiles
Chants and twisted metal
No way knowing how astonishment
Sorrow into happiness
Changes in the moment untold

Some imagined the impossible
Happened to be Possible
For the Wall that divided

Is now conquered...
