Written during a time when I thought there was no hope.

I have lost hope
That life can be good
Awake to my reality
Only wish I could

Get on with life
Or end it all
Either way
My greatest fall

Into the open
And unknown
My greatest gift
What I have shown

To those who care
If I live and breathe
I feel like Iím dead
But please donít grieve

I am still here
On this earth
Unfortunately for me
I know not what Iím worth

Your poem carries a positive note. And the fact that your posting it now tells me that things are much better.

This holds great honesty, Beth. Very touching two lines: "To those who care/If I live and breathe," and self-recognition contained in the last two lines. "I know not what I'm worth' contains some question, as in possibility that you may be of worth, as you absolutely are. ~~ Diana
