Where does it start and where does it end?
It has been said time and time again
Is this all part of some Grand Design?
Or, is it just an awful trick of the mind?

The thought of romance you fester in a dance
Only because you're afraid to take a chance
You suppress your emotions with affairs of the heart
Feelings locked so deep inside, it tears you apart
Hoping and praying no one can see…the desire in your eyes
Embellishing a thought that leaves you standing mortified
You get as close as two people dare…
Intensity of emotions rising strong
Overwhelmed by the thought of never again having to…
Sleep alone
You mumble the words, which you are afraid to speak
From fear of loosing it all
Not realizing that things are, as plain as…
The Writing On The Wall

Words so deeply embroidered in your heart, you try hard to deny
Scared that your world would fall apart, if you gave chance a try
Therefore, you cling to friendship to use as a crutch
Afraid to reach out and not being able to touch
The writing becomes confusing and it is hard for you to see
The truth is actually, what you want it to be
We often channel feelings through the labyrinths in our lives
To keep anyone from getting to close
Yearning for the things, we believe we cannot have
Is what destroys us the most
It is time to stop, listen, and take heed to it all
For what you want, is without a doubt, a plain and simple call
Believe me when I tell you this…it is as easy as…
The Writing On The Wall

This is excellent, since it applies to everyone, in any situation.

Absoluely heart rending. It reminds me of a song (really a story) by Melissa Etheridge.
