yet to be completed

The sun sinks low in the sky
the men rise replete from feasting
laughter rings loud as
they don their battlegear
Viking helms, mail and gauntlets

The squires are summoned
the clatter of sheild, spear and sword
carry on the wind
as the young boys do as they are bid

As one
the men leave behind the safety
of indoors and venture out

Low voices discuss the attack
spears and sheilds glint in the sun
and are taken as the squires run from the field of battle

Lovely and wonderful pictures. The era of your writing seems a romantic time.

Reenactments are very interesting to watch and the picture is very interesting as well. I have known people to buy jewelry with a certain design to teach children the art of chivalry.
