This is how magic works.

Centered on the road
between the ponds of desires and dreams,
I stood in the light of
a full wishing moon
and mentally built my intent.

Oblivious to the chill
I stood and focused
as a hushed breeze rippled the water
surrounding me
and I stared
past the night sky
that faded from black to blue
as the light filled my eyes
and the picture became clearer.

I saw him then,
and what we would become to each other.
Clearly, I saw the life we would share.

And beneath that light,
as the surety built
and the winds became more intense,
the ponds began to merge
as dream and desire began to solidify.

It was then that I whispered my intent,
to any Gods
who might be listening -- and the magic worked.

It was the first time.

Very beautiful lines. It is amazing how many ways love and attraction play a monumental part in each of our lives.

this depicts more of the perfect time to make a wish that could possibly come through. I say this is somewhat inspirational.
