Sharing poetry with all of you today on how mum may see things at times

Pretty lady

Silky cognac colored skin

eyes tinted like wheat fields, with green peas in the center

hair braided so tightly, I can see what she's thinking

I use to call her baby

but a woman is who she is now

chasing rainbows , trying to squeeze out skittles,

but her sweetness is her insides, but she rejects it

Those bony tattooed shoulders

enjoy carrying the world

I think it makes her feel relevant when I am not able to,

she is a woman in her eyes, but forever my little girl

Who taught her how to smoke that?

the only thing I ever hit hard was the gym.... and a few men

Why does she think thats sexy if a man can stomp tears out of her dreams?

Family influence may not always be a good thing, since we are being honest

She know the bible better than I do

but for some reason, she only reads it in tongues without translation

and I could never sweep her with the judgment broom, because I made her

and she is still one of God's greatest creations

I know that she was born to bring peace to the nations

to color silver on the stardust and that her work will be  a vacation;

What she dont seem to process

is that Ive been her age before

I know that windows crack sometimes when opened

and that booby prizes sit behind some closed doors

I know that 18 looks like a lifetime, because she hasnt lived it before

I also know that she is protected, Agape favor that means her soul is not for sale

and that Im a shareholder of her heartbeats, so despite her determination

She will never own real estate in Hell/

We share the same heart

our DNA has  a  special coding strand

its much greater than the madness that attracts her

and much stronger than the sexiest choice of man

We share the same heart

and when she skips a beat

I jump right in and share my spirit

so she can keep thinking shes riding solo

My first thought was also WoW! This is a terrific write.
That phrase, "I could never sweep her with the judgment broom" amazed me! Say it again--WoW!
