USS Newyork (LPD 21) takes more than 7.5 tons of steel in her bow from the wreckage of the World Trade Centre of September 11 terrorist attacks. Many people including families of the 9/11 victims, attended the christening of the USS New York in Louisiana on March,01. When the attack took place, the ship was planned but had no name.
The ship due for commissioning in 2009 is designed for missions including special operations against terrorists. She can carry a crew of 360 and 700 combat-ready Marines to be landed ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Discussions, reports and pointing fingers,
political rally’s overshadowed by death,
the bitter taste of injustice lingers
every time we take a deep breath.

Democrats blame the Bush administration
Republicans defend their leader and chief
the togetherness we felt surrounding this nation
unfortunately was shallow and brief.

Our soldiers are out there, fighting for justice
or something like that we’re suppose to believe
the world accuses us to be callous
I shake my head and bow it in grief.

A ship’s been build from twin tower wreckage
she will proudly carry Petty and Brass
I’d love to watch her sailing Accourage
to a known destination – to kick serious ass.
